St. Nick 2014

St. Nick made a special trip to our home to give Emerald some new balls! He also was nice enough to get me some candy, an iTunes gift card and an ornament, and brought Drew a video game and some peeps!

Thanksgiving 2014

Emerald’s first Thanksgiving was a blast. We first hung out at my parent’s house with all of my family and the many babies, ha! We took our annual group photo and let the babies get a taste of a turkey bone! Then we headed to Drew’s family’s Thanksgiving for our second dinner, dessert and games!

Family Weekend

This past weekend, Jess and her boyfriend David came down to visit! The girls LOVED having them here, especially because they bring gifts, ha!

We just did a lot of hanging out at my parents, but also made a trip to the bowling alley for a little fun.

Fall Family Day 2014

Last year we started the tradition of a fall family day, and this year we added three more babies to the fun! We went to Cedarburg Creek Farms since it’s about half way for us to meet Becky and Josh. We went on a hayride, checked out some animals and looked at all the pumpkins!

Next on the fall checklist is carving pumpkins!

Cousin Time

It’s always fun when all the kids are together, also because that means almost all of us sisters are together! Never thought it would come to this, but my sisters are my bffs and we love hanging out.

It’s basically impossible to get 4 kids under the age of 3 to pose for a photo. We tried, but then we just decided to take some of Emerald by herself, since she was being good 😉

All wondering “what’s wrong Charleigh?”

Labor Day 2014

We were all sad to see summer go, and apparently so was Emerald…

We had one last hurrah/cousin time/grill out at my parents to spend the last beautiful day of the summer. I’m so thankful for the amazing summer we had and really wish summer could last 365 days a year.

Emerald’s First Beach Day

Since we live only an 8-minute walk from Pewaukee Beach, it was only a matter of time before we introduced Emerald to it. We’ve taken lots of walks there before, but today was the first time she put her toes in the sand and water (brrr!)

We can’t wait until she can appreciate it more 😉

Five Generations

Today we went down to see my Great Grandma Vada Anderson (who is 96 years old) so she could meet the babies. We also thought it would be a great chance to get a five generations photo, both for my family and Becky’s.

Even for being 96 years old, my great grandma sure does get around and is looking great. She even made cheese cake and cookies for us. Emerald loved talking to her, and it makes me so happy to have this photo since we don’t know how long she’ll be around.

The photo of her holding Emerald and this one at our wedding below are so special.

Our Family at 7 Weeks

Emerald has changed so much from when we first had newborn photos taken or took some family ones at the hospital, so I had my sister snap a few on my camera the other day. I’m trying my best to document so much of this little girl, since she’s growing up so fast already 🙁

And it’s also really hard to make sure I get in front of the camera sometimes, that’s the hardest!
