First Walk for 2015

This winter, even though it’s been pretty mild, has had us stir crazy for a few weeks now! These couple days of warm weather were amazing to be able to get out and take a walk after work – while it was still light out!! Though it was pretty short since the sun was setting and it was getting cooler by the minute!

PS the golden hour is AMAZING. Can’t wait to take more photos with this beautiful light.

Valentine’s Day 2015

This Valentine’s Day was a little different than Drew and I’s past 9 Valentine’s together. We got to spend some couple time the night before at our LifeGroup while my parent’s watched Em that night.

In the morning Drew picked up donuts, yum! Em actually wasn’t a fan, silly girl, who doesn’t like donuts?!

Becky and Josh were in town, so we hung out with them for a little bit and then spent some time together at home and headed to Life Church. After we went to Qdoba for a quick dinner!

I guess being a cute little valentine can be tiring!

First Snow 2015

It was Emerald’s first time playing in the snow this year! She wasn’t sure what to think of it, hence her puzzled look on her face in half of the photos. Her snow suit is a million times too big, but we made the best of it and even made snow angels.

We’ll see how much her opinion of snow changes come March.

Christmas with Family – 2014

We had lots of Christmas celebrations! We first started by celebrating with Drew’s mom at her house while Stephanie was home a few weeks before Christmas, and then Drew’s dad the next day. Then on Christmas Eve we went to my grandparent’s house like we used to do when I was a little kid, and then we celebrated at my parent’s house on Christmas day. To wrap things up we had a big Wyler Christmas party a few days after Christmas!

Here are some highlights of Christmas with family (photos from various people)…

Christmas at Home – 2014

Christmas was busy busy! We have photos from all our different celebrations that occurred over the course of a few weeks, but I haven’t gotten the chance to comb through them all yet, but here is how our little family of three celebrated Christmas!

Christmas Eve we got dressed up and headed to Life Church for their Christmas Eve Services. Emerald being scared of strangers didn’t make it through the whole service in the nursery so we enjoyed it in the lobby.

Christmas morning we started the day eating breakfast and opening presents just the three of us!

Christmas Traditions 2014

It’s tradition we spend a night baking cookies together, and of course we had to include little miss Emerald! She didn’t get to try any… the best she got was a taste of the oil on the cookie sheet, and she did manage to break one of the letters, ha!

We also started a new tradition of decorating a tree for Emerald for her room! This year we went with an emerald-colored theme!
